From The Principal’s Desk

Dear Fransalians,
Faith in the Almighty, genuine concern for the well-being of others, and—most importantly—nurturing the “Education of the Human Heart” have been the steadfast pillars upon which our Fransalian Mission is built.
From these principles arose our guiding motto—“Knowledge, Service, Charity”—which continues to define not just our school’s insignia but also the goals we strive to achieve every day.
Our vision for education extends far beyond academic excellence; it is designed to help each child embark on a journey of self-discovery, recognize and cultivate individual talents, embrace personal limitations, and express creativity in their unique way.
In fostering this journey, we encourage students to develop empathy, forge meaningful connections, and reach out in service to others, thereby enriching both their own lives and those around them.
At St. Francis de Sales, we believe that true education is incomplete without character formation—building integrity, compassion, and social responsibility alongside intellectual growth.
Every activity and initiative at our school is tailored to ensure that students grow not only as scholars but also as caring members of society who can make positive contributions in an ever-changing world.
As we continue this noble mission, I invite each member of our Fransalian family—students, faculty, staff, and parents—to embrace these values wholeheartedly, so together we can uplift and inspire one another to live out “Knowledge, Service, Charity” in all endeavors.

Fr. Peter Marie Mermier
Founder of MSFS Congregation

Fr. Peter Marie Mermier (28 August 1790 – 30 September 1862) was a French priest from Savoy who tirelessly worked to rebuild the Church after the French Revolution and founded the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS) to minister through parish missions, education, and foreign outreach.

Ordained on 21 March 1813 at age twenty-three, Fr. Mermier immediately devoted himself to parish work and education. He taught local children by day while studying theology at night, and after three years was appointed to teach at the College of Melan and serve as Prefect of Discipline.

Recognizing the need for a dedicated missionary community, Fr. Mermier, inspired by the Salesian spirit, began gathering like-minded priests around 1826. In October 1838, with just eleven professed members, he formally founded the Missionaries of St. Francis de Sales (MSFS) to carry out parish missions, and youth education under the patronage of St. Francis de Sales.
